Kindle eBooks

Kindle eBooks can be borrowed by anyone who has an Amazon account. If you don't own a Kindle device you can use the Kindle Cloud Reader or the Kindle app to read Kindle books. For more info on library books for Kindle click here for Amazon's help page.

Public library books require an active Wi-Fi connection for wireless delivery to a Kindle device. Library books will not be delivered via your Kindle's 3G connection.

Kindle automatically backs up all of your notes and highlights. If you choose to purchase the book at a later date from the Kindle Store or check it out again, all your notes and highlights will be preserved.

Penguin eBooks loaned for reading on Kindle devices will need to be downloaded to a computer then transferred to the device over USB. For library patrons, this means Penguin eBooks will no longer be available for over-the-air delivery to Kindle devices or to Kindle apps.
